About

Over the past several years, programming and events at Chabad have significantly increased, creating a need for more space. The new Chabad Community Center will bring all the events and programs you attend all under one roof.

Highlights of the new building:

  1. SANCTUARY – The new Shul sanctuary, at approximately 2,000 sq. ft., will be close to 3 times its present size. The new sanctuary will provide a beautiful place to pray on Shabbat & Holidays, with ample seating room and side by side men’s and women’s sections. The back third of the room will have moving partitions; enabling a smooth transition for weekly Kiddushim.
  2. SOCIAL HALL -The sanctuary will also function as a social hall for large community and holiday events, in addition to hosting bar/bat mitzvahs, brissim, and other lifecycle events.
  3. CAFÉ/LOUNGE – On the lower level there will be a beautiful café and lounge area. A place for you to enjoy a cup of coffee, purchase a kosher snack or play some Mahjongg, while meeting up with your Jewish friends and neighbors.
  4. LIBRARY – The library will host daily classes, JLI, Women’s Torah & Tea and will also serve as a place to do some quiet individual Torah study.
  5. MINI-ISRAEL INDOOR PLAYGROUND – We are excited about this unique addition to the Burlington Jewish community. Mini-Israel will be a center for families to come together and engage in play through an Israeli themed activity space and studio. Look out for more information in the near future.
  6. OUTDOOR EVENT DECK – A place for YJP activities, social gatherings, and community Sukkah celebrations.

The existing structure will be fully dedicated as the educational wing housing the JUDA afterschool programs, Gan Yeladim Preschool, and Camp Gan Israel. All this has only been possible thanks to you, our committed supporters, who are making this vision a reality. We are grateful to the Almighty for this opportunity. Sincerely, Rabbi Yitzchok Raskin Director
